‘The dust has now settled after this year's amazing festival in its new home at Kirklinton Hall. Do take a little time to browse the picture gallery to bring back happy memories which we hope will also act as a reminder to pencil the dates for the 2015 festival on 12/13 June firmly into your diaries. The 2015 festival will again feature concerts of top quality live music (not just Folk music as you will already have discovered this year!) in this uniquely friendly and intimate setting.

Maddy is about to set up a charitable organisation called The Stepping Stones Foundation, the main objective of which will be 'to nurture the development of up and coming performers and artists in the community'. Over the course of the Winter we will, through the Foundation, apply for grants and sponsorship and plan to hold a number of fund raising events. Sponsorship deals (principally to raise money to cover artist fees) will start at £50, in return for which benefits will be given, valued at roughly half the pledge. Please contact us if you would like more information about this initiative.

We hope to have published the outline concert programme by the end of September and to have advance tickets on sale by the end of November. The main fund raising event will be a Reception to celebrate Maddy's award of a gold medal from the English Folk Dance and Song Society in recognition of her sustained contribution to folk music and dance. We will publish details of this on the website by Christmas and limited numbers of tickets will be available on application, priority naturally being given to sponsors. Watch out also for the Kickstarter campaign in the New Year which will be seeking further funding from around the world to enable the Foundation to support and nurture new talent.
